How Much Power Do I Need?
It is important for you to determine how much power you need from a generator.
Different appliances and tools require different amounts of power. Some appliances, like a
refrigerator require a surge of power at startup. Others, like a coffee maker do not require a
such a surge. Our Power Chart will give
you a general idea of how much power various appliances and tools require. These wattages are
approximate. Refer to your own tools and appliances for specific wattage requirements. Each
appliance is required to provide this information. Hint: Amps x Volts = Watts.
Alternative Fuel Source? The Guardian Quietpact RV Generator is also
available with liquid propane as fuel. Slightly less power (3,400 watts and 28.3 amps) and
higher fuel consumption. However, depending on fuel costs in your area, you might prefer
this fuel instead of liquid propane.
